20th Birthday x

Better late than never right ? 

I know everyone says this, but truly, I cannot believe that I have turned 20! Leaving my teenage years behind just like that POOOF! 

When we were younger, oh how we longed to be this age! To be legal, to go out on our own, to party, to have a boyfriend/girlfriend, to get a car, to actually learn what the forbidden 'sex' was really all about ! 

Practically to do what grown ups did! 

AND now that we are actually here,we come to realize that it isn't anything that GRAND right ? 

As we all wish we could be that young little girl/boy again, where picking a colour for our picture drawing was a tough decision and a kiss on the forehead from mum/nan/guardian, whoever looked after us, was all we needed to feel super once again and all our troubles seemed to perish! 


But being a grown up isn't all that bad, it has it's perks! Finding yourself is one and becoming your own person! Getting your first car and finding every excuse to go out for a drive and pick up your girlfriend and have a sing along to your favourite song feeling invincible behind the wheel! 

But hey, we can't turn back time and so we have to make the most of it, so for all of you out there, that are in you're 20's, live it up cos these should be the best years! I know I am haha ! 

Here are some pictures of my birthday weekender, not that I remember much of it! But I know that I made sure I made everyone in the club know it's my birthday during the countdown, when the clock turned midnight, the drinks came flowing in! My plan worked (evil laugh)!

If anyone is guessing what went down on Sunday ?! I was hibernating in my BELOVED bed haha! Stuffing my face with my favourite Ben and Jerry's Chuncky Muncky cos I'm 20 years and 1 day old and awesome.

That pretty much sums it up! 

No doubt I missed my family, not waking up at home and being able to hug my dear parents, having my brothers roughly jumping onto me showing their rough brotherly love and my grandma giving me her warm hug and kiss! 

 But thanks to today's technology I got to Face time them! They too celebrated my birthday, nan baked a cake with my name on, a good excuse to eat cake!





And not to mention my closest friends, whom I would have partied like crazy with, Maltese style !

  But theirs always a first right ! And that was my first birthday without them but spent with other great people whom are also special to me.

The weekend

SuuHey hey hey, how you doin ? 

Decided to blog about the weekend! 

Thursday - lovely morning and afternoon with Evelin, visited San Pedro Market. They had some really good stuff and not to mention nice shoes for jaw dropping prices ! If you are here or live close by its a must that you visit ! 

Finished off the afternoon with a lovely lunch in another part of San Pedro with 
our friend Micke. 


Friday- Dinner and movie night, decided to watch Captain Philips, didn't get to finish it though, I would rate it 4 out of 5, not a bad film !

Saturday- What was supposed to be a relaxed night in with friends turned into a wild house party! Now that was fun! Wine champagne,beer, dancing, singing waaaaaaaaaaaa. Unexpected nights always turn out the best! 

Sunday- Went to Red Cloud to watch the hockey game Sweden vs Canada. I was siding with the swedes, since I was sitting at a table full of them haha! Sadly they lost 3-0. Shame!

Next stop was Victors Beach for some wine, food and live music! I'm guessing we drank a whole lot of wine as we all ended up dancing and singing. I will let the video do the explaining.
Hahaa so glad I got to meet this guy he is so funny and knows how to have a good time! "Suup brother from another motha" he gets my 'black nigga humuor'!!

My epic fail at skiing!

Oh look I've actually remembered that I have a blog I need to update! Ding,ding,ding !

Hope everyone that's reading this is doing well x


Since my last blog nothing that interesting has happened, that I felt the need to share, except one thing. Something I have dreamt about since I was a little girl, something I have wanted to touch and feel. Now don't  let your dirty mind play tricks on you, I'm talking about SNOW ! God knows how much I've been longing to see it, I guess that's what happens when you come from a sunny island and didn't get to travel as much before. So y'all can imagine how excited I was when I found out I was going to a skiing resort for a weekend!

 Imagine a short girl with long black hair going down to her room and doing the Carlton dance, followed by the Taylor swift head banging and the glorious fist in the air! That pretty much sums up my 'alone in the room reaction'. If you think that's funny, boy oh boy the best is yet to come!
On the eve of the big day I was so excited that I was feeling sick! HAHA I mean really?! GEEZ what a drama queen! But anyway everyone said the same thing, 'oh don't worry it's just nerves you're gonna love it !!' (YAAY)

It was a two hour drive to the beautiful Sierra Nevada. Once we got there we wasted no time, straight to the hotel room, got changed and headed out to get our gear! You could just tell by looking at me that I was gonna be the weekends entertainer! I didn't know how to put the shoes on, could barely move with all the clothing and struggled to walk with my skies! This was just in the rental shop!
Looking out of the cable skii, I was blown away I had never seen anything like it! Pure white snow covered the whole mountain, heaven! I couldn't wait to get out and touch it, it looked so SOFT! 


I went up the slope with the big guys. Now these people have been brought up with snow and skiing to them is PEANUTS! In other words these people knew how to skii. And Adella ? Well Adella thought she was invincible up on that slope and that she could conquer the sport ! HA! 


All smiles before I knew what was yet to come ! 

Before I was allowed to start skiing, they briefly explained how I needed to stop and how I should put my bodyweight forward. They also said I should make a 'pizza' in order to stop! I was just there like 'yeah, yeah, aha, ok, ok, mhm' I couldn't wait to set off! And how I did ! I was going down that slope like there was no tomorrow, screaming my boss's name along with "HEEEELPPP I CANT BLOODY STOPPP".  I quickly found out how as I fell and rolled and rolled and fell again. This happened repeatedly. I got so frustrated. But the end of slope seemed so FAR away! All I wanted to do was sit on my fat ass and slide all the way down.

My boss gave me these simple instructions, "stay in front of me, body forward, pullies up, we're going down together" I couldn't even do that! I was like a dead floppy bird enjoying the ride with the wind in my face and my hair blowing, something like the titanic scene except in the snow and much funnier! What happens next ? Funny question! He ends up picking me up with my skiis and all and carrying me down the rest of the slope! I screamed the whole way down, we were going so fast I thought I was gonna puke haha ! it was the highlight of the weekend. I promise you that if someone had videod me I would have been an internet sensation!

Woooohhhhhooooooo !

As soon as we reached the end of the slope, I was told that I should probably keep to the kids area haha. Sadly even the little kids knew how to skii better than me and make it look as if it was a piece of cake!

The next day I decided to give it a second try. I was waiting in a long que to enter a tunnel and someone from behind me brushed against me SLIGHTLY, I can't even say they 'pushed' me. This set me right off, I was in a slight slope and I couldn't bring myself to stop. I crashed and fell into the person infront of me who was crouching down attending to his son. Well not surprisingly enough, he fell, along with his son and the person infront of them! "oh look a human domino effect" I said to myself while laying on the floor unable to get up! I'm not quite sure if I wanted to burst into tears or fits of laughter! I was utterly and totally embarrased. After 5 mins of figuring how the hell I was going to get up on my own, I decided to look back and there were at least 20 people who had just witnessed what I had done! A magic disapppearing act would have come in handy at this point in time. 'PUUUFFF' 

The tunnel I eventually entered after humiliating myslelf! 

My overall conclusion regarding this experience won't come as a surprise to my readers. I LOVED the snow and the scenery BUT skiing is just not my thing, I guess we didn't click haha! As you all can see ! 


At the same time I am so very grateful that I got to cross out yet another thing off of my bucket list. Will  be crossing out another thing off of my list pretty soon but won't be revealing anything just yet, you will have to wait and see! So keep tuned.



Will write back to you all very soon as I have my 20th birthday next month. Just to let you all know I'm that type of girl that LOVES her birthday,gets butterflies the night before just like when you were a kid and you were turning 6 the next day and can't fall asleep! I mean am I really turning 20? Hahaha xxx
