Boat trip :) x

Aloohhhaaaaaa :) x

Been here three days, I can already tell it's going to be one of those holidays that fly by in a flash! I guess when you're enjoying yourself the days quickly turn into weeks and before you know it a month will be gone! Therefore I'm determined to enjoy every second of it !

Enough of the chit chat, here's the update of the day:

Today's adventure was a boat trip. After breakfast we walked to the pier, where a boat was waiting for us. We were greeted by our guide and before you know it we set off on our trip to the beautiful island Khai.

The trip was about an hour and a half. On the way there I couldn't stop taking videos and pictures, the scenery was absolutely beautiful, it was like something out of a postcard, picture perfect! Apparently one island we passed by was used to shoot the film "Pirates of the Caribbean" and another island we saw, appeared in the film "Beach".
(These aren't  the islands I mentioned, just random ones. Also in the bottom left photo there's a small hut and someone actually lives there all year round, just to collect bird's nest, in order to sell them)

Before reaching Khai island, we stopped and did some fishing. Never seen so many fish caught in such a short period of time! They just kept on coming. (I only caught a baby one haha). According to the captain, we stopped in the perfect spot to catch fish or else we wouldn't have been able to catch as much as we did.

Once the fishing was over, we ventured into Khai island. What a scene, whitest sand I have ever seen in my life with clear blue water! We did some snorkeling and although I'm not a fan of the sea and what's found lurking  beneath my feet, I plucked up the courage and went for it! I didn't go out very far nor did I spend a long time doing it, but I got to see some fish and can now say that I have snorkeled! I also got to feed the fish, as you can buy a loaf of bread (not to eat haha) and throw it into the water. A quote I would use to describe the bread is, "now you see me, now you don't!!" The fish attacked it like there's no freakin tomorrow!

Upon arriving, the island barely had any people on it, but soon after it was invaded, mostly with Chinese people! Don't want to sound mean, but man are they WEIRD! God knows what degrees it was, yet they were dressed in scarfs, leggings, long sleeved tops. Walking around with umbrellas, shawls wrapped round their head! We must have looked weird to them in just our bikinis haha! But hey I wasn't there to judge them and I should respect their culture and beliefs. It's a real shame I left my mobile on the boat, as I wasn't able to take any photos of the beautiful island and what it had to offer. :(

When we were ready, the boat came back for us and while we were on the island, they prepared us a delicious meal with the fish we had caught earlier! It was "finger lickin' " good! After a great meal, all I can say is that I was stuffed and ready for a nap (surpriseeeeee haha).

When we arrived back at the hotel all I wanted to do was sleep, but instead I  bravely decided to cycle back to the village! (I think I've got the hang of it know, as I managed to make it to the village with no injuries haha). The shop I hoped to visit was closed but the owner was kind enough to open up just for me! I bought some souvenirs and postcards to send to my family! Also I decided to do a good deed and bought some crisps for the children that were playing on the street just outside the shop! They were so happy, which made me even happier! Then I realized that I might have caused a war between them, as soon as I said bye they were fighting between themselves for the crips!!! (Ooooppppsssss) !!
( I could be their long lost sibling to be honest haha !! )
(Soooo cuuteeee !! ) xxxxxx

Pheeewwwwww, I've said a lot today haven't I ? Don't worry if you're reading this, you've made it to the end, congratulations haha!

Thanks for reading I really appreciate it, I hope this blog goes to good use and  inspires teens like me to go travel the world and experience life :) !

The sun is setting and so I bid you goodnight fellow friends :) xxxx

Thailand x

Heeey :) !

As I promised, going to keep my blog updated whilst I'm in Thailand so here it goes! :)

Left Spain late afternoon on the 22nd and arrived here on the 23rd around 22.00 so you can imagine how long the journey was to get here !

On the way to the airport :)

First flight went well it was short, only to Madrid. Once in Madrid we had to check in again to catch a 7hour flight to Dubai ! I was stopped during this period as I had no visa but after 15 mins or so they decided to let me through ! The airport was so big in Madrid that we had to catch a train within the airport to get to our gate (woohoo whaaat?! Crazy shit)

Also my luggage weighed 30kgs ! Typical, having a suitcase nearly as big as me that I can't even carry, stuffed with clothes and a million pairs of shoes! (You can never have enough clothes and shoes c'mon :p).

Arrived in Dubai early morning and had some breakfast before catching our final plane! I slept mostly through the long flights, even though I didn't have that much space, but then again I can sleep absolutely ANYWHERE! (Sleepaholic). Also I got to watch a movie called 'Crush' . (Not bad)

Finally we landed in Thailand, as we went through the immigration process I was stopped yet again ! They didn't even know where Malta was, "Malta ?? Where is Malta ?" At least they gave me an option, and so I had to have my passport picture taken which cost me €10 and then filled in a visa formula which was another €40. Finally I was allowed in. As soon as I stepped out of the airport and felt the humidity it hit me, I'm actually here ! Looking out of my window on the way to the resort, it was just like what you see in movies or documentaries, rough streets with old shops, small houses, huts, tuk tuk's and most of all GREENERY !

To get to the resort we had to catch a speed boat, as it is on an island ! (So cool !!). Afterwards we looked at two villas and finally chose the one most appropriate, not to mention beautiful ! It's right by the beach, and close to the gym, restaurants and main pool! The rooms are really nice and very spacious ! First night I slept like a baby, which is no surprise haha ! I thought I would get jet lag and not be able to fall asleep, but no not me!
My bed, bathroom, outside bath tub, private pool
Small passage way from my room to the beach and the last picture is the main pool.

Today after breakfast, we had a nice walk along the beach and afterwards swam. The temperature of the sea was just perfect. Then had lunch and a small rest to power up!

Next was adventure time ! We got some bycicles and decided to go and explore! Thank god none of you witnessed me getting on the bike and that no one took a video of me! It was a funny sight I must say! I forgot how to ride a bike, it's been so long since I last rode mine!

There's a small village on the island which has only a population of a 100 people. As we passed by on our bikes we saw the villagers and their small huts and shops, children playing with the most simplest of things and many animals running around! Finally after what seemed like hours we found a beach which had a spectacular view !! In the end the long ride plus all the sweat was worth it !

We stopped for something to drink and asked if there was another easy way to get back to the resort. There was! (Hallelujah). The easier solution was a boat, which came for us and our bycicles and took us back! Once we were home I immediately jumped in the pool and soon after it started to rain, I was so happy, I've always wanted to swim in the rain ! (Silly girl I know haha).

The day here has come to an end, just finished having a lovely dinner and now -all ready for bed. Tomorrow is a jam packed day, can't wait !

Desert, yuuuuumy (ps. Not mine)

Had so much to tell you all, that I might have bored you a little! Never mind you'll get over it haha!

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going!

Holaaaaa :) !

Haven't written in a while, long story short, haven't had the best of weeks and therefore wasn't in the mood to write. I crashed my car into the side of a mountain, wasn't speeding and so the impact of the crash was small. Damaged the car quite a bit and as for me I was lucky enough not to get injured :) ! But they say that after a hurricane comes a rainbow, it's been a week now and although I'm terribly sorry for damaging a car that isn't technically mine, I'm back on my feet and feeling much better!

Spent most of yesterday packing my belongings, cos guess where I'm going ? THAILAND woohhhooooo ! Finally I'm all packed up and my room is bare. I was so  excited last night I found it hard to fall asleep haha! I leave today and come back next month! One of my flight's is 14 hours long, I've  never been on a plane for longer than three hours, so I'm hoping I can hack the long hours! Luckily for me I LOVE SLEEPING so I guess I could always sleep!

Bought myself a book to keep me occupied, it was rated no.1 us best seller and so I decided to go for it. Will give you feedback when I'm done and tell you if it's worth buying and reading :) !

Honestly I can't wait to arrive in Thailand. I've heard people talk about it so much and always imagined myself going there one day. I guess that day has finally arrived ! Lets see what Thailand has to offer :) !

Will write another post soon and fill you all in :) ! Hope you all have a happy Sunday xxxx

Lots of love,

Adella xxx

So far so good :)

Hey guys been wanting to start this blog since I moved here, and that's three months ago ! Not sure if I was just to lazy to start it or shy ! So I decided to give it a go since its also a good way to record the memories I make along this journey 😘

Moving away from home, family, friends and the life I had gotten used was hard. But then again I always knew that I wanted to do something with my life and get out there and explore the world. I was lucky enough to get offered a great opportunity where I would work as an au pair or a family I knew back in Malta  and also travel with them, which I surely couldn't turn down. I feel so lucky and at the same time grateful to them as they gave me my get away ticket out of my comfort zone. Now I am able to explore and see what the world has to offer outside from my small home country Malta. 🌏✈

So far so good, I cannot possibly complain. I have been made welcomed and therefore it was easy for me to settle in. I have made some new friends which is great as I get to go out and socialize. Also I've made really good friends with a girl, which I would like to thank as she has shown me around and introduced me to new people. She's also a good party buddy, I must say we've had some good nights out. It's good to have a friend you can turn to and talk to when you're away from family and friends, it makes it easier to get through, so thank you Evelin 😘 xx

Last weekend I visited Portugal for the first time which was really nice. It was a five hour drive there, which is something I'm totally not used to, but the roads and the scenery on the way were beautiful and therefore made the long drive bearable. While I was there I got to go to the Zoo Marine Park where I saw a dolphin show which was very entertaining and many other types of fish.🐟🐠🐬🐳

On the way to Portugal
At the Zoo Marine

Since I've been here I must admit I've gained some unwanted weight and slacked from keeping fitπŸ’€ That's why I've started going to Crossfit Marbella, which is a fun challenging way to keep fit and also a place where I can meet new people and make new friends. Lets hope I keep my commitment and go regularly. πŸ’ͺπŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ

My message to young people who want to travel is this:  don't hold back and don't be afraid to make the move. Yes there will be times were you will miss your family and friends, but if you are determined and headstrong you will make it through. Moreover with today's means of communication you can easily keep in touch. So if you have the opportunity GO FOR IT and i promise you, you won't regret it 😁

That's all for today before I bore you all to death 😴! Here are some photos I've taken, bye for now πŸ™‹xxxx
